Educate-Engage-Empower
June is Stroke Awareness Month, and we are hosting two virtual webinars on stroke recovery. Registration is free.
Every five minutes, someone in Canada has a stroke – that’s more than 100,000 strokes each year. It is a leading cause of disability across the country, and as Canada’s population ages, that number will continue to grow. March of Dimes Canada’s After Stroke program is here to provide stroke survivors and their families with hands-on support they need to live their best lives.
Join us for two inspiring Stroke Awareness Month webinars!

Join us for a special stroke awareness month panel presentation focused on caring for the caregiver with practical tips and shared real-life experience.
You’ll hear from Caregivers Nova Scotia as well as a panel comprised of caregivers to stroke survivors. Caregivers often dedicate themselves entirely to the well-being of others, but without proper self-care, they risk burnout, emotional exhaustion, and physical health issues. Prioritizing self-care is not a luxury — it’s a necessity that enables caregivers to maintain their own health, resilience, and emotional balance. By taking time to rest, seek support, and engage in activities that bring joy and relaxation, caregivers can sustain their ability to provide compassionate and effective care. Ultimately, caring for oneself is an essential part of caring for others.
