Your organizational partner can help you get some of the things you need for your peer support group. You can also look for local people or organizations that might help.
Potential community partners are:
- Organizations involved in stroke prevention/ recovery/life after stroke.
- Libraries, community, recreation, and religious centres.
- Local community leaders from diverse groups.
- Local businesses.
- Municipal offices.
- Transport service agencies.
Remember: Organizational partners are groups helps you set up and run your peer support group. They may provide some resources and guidance. Community partners are local people, businesses, or groups that can offer things like meeting spaces, snacks, or supplies. Sometimes, you might need to buy some things yourself.
